About this Event

In our fourth gathering of non-profits, agencies, and ministries, we will talk about the upcoming symposium on crime, violence, and public safety. Your input is important to shaping the narrow focus of the symposium, questions that will be posed, issues that affect the clients you serve. Add your voice to the final details of the State of Public Safety in St. Louis, Changing the Conversation o n Crime, Public Safety, and Growing Violence.

The recent Regional Crime Summit hosted by the East-West Gateway Council of Governments reflected a region-wide consensus on the state of crime in St. Louis and commitment to work collaboratively. The symposium, however, was designed for law-enforcement professional and government leaders. It's important that we examine the current state of public safety in St. Louis from the perspective of those who are most affected by crime and consider the impact and ineffectiveness of over-policing and over-incarceration, examine the mission and visions of our individual organizations as they pertain to effectively addressing growing problems, and to network and collaborate to craft more effective solutions - together.
