About this Event
Beyond Baroque presents Consola del Túnel, an immersive activation of the Wanda Coleman Theater featuring spoken word, organic music, and installation art. The authors will present a mix of written works and improvisations from the label A.R.D.O. (algún resentimiento desconocido al odio), Nueoi Press, Salinas’ bilingual chapbook Dealer: poesía carcacha, and selected poems by Tori Gesualdo. Jasminne Morataya will be accompanied by musicians Chris McKelway and Joe Davancens.

About the authors
A.R.D.O. (Algún Resentimiento Desconocido al Odio) is a creative studio and publishing label for art, poetry, photography, and recordings of organic music based in Los Angeles, California. A.R.D.O. shares messages of collectivism and autonomy, with an emphasis on analog production practices and processes.
Iván Salinas is a writer born in Ciudad de México and is Programs Manager at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center. He is the author of a bilingual poetry collection, Dealer: Poesía Carcacha published by There's Only Peace in Death Press in 2026. He is the co-editor of Drifter Zine, based in the 818. His works have appeared in Revista Generación, The Acentos Review, Broken Lens Journal, Author Pop Ups, and The Ana.
Lupita Limón Corrales is a poet, artist, organizer, and language interpreter. She is a founding member of the Echo Park local of the Los Angeles Tenants Union. Her writing can be found in dozens of zines and handmade books; on Dublab and Lower Grand Radio; and in Protean Magazine, Longreads, Street Views, and Huizache. Her first full-length poetry book ESTA BOCA ES MIA was published by nueoi press in Spring 2024.
Tori Gesualdo is the author of the chapbook Smell the Smoke published by Sunflower Station Press. She is café manager, events coordinator, and bookseller at Stories Books & Café in Echo Park.
About Beyond Baroque
Beyond Baroque is one of the United States' leading independent Literary | Arts Centers and public spaces dedicated to expanding the public's knowledge of poetry, literature and art through cultural events and community interaction. Founded in 1968 as an experimental literary magazine, Beyond Baroque is based out of the original City Hall building in Venice, California. The Center offers a diverse variety of literary and arts programming including readings and workshops. The building also houses a bookstore with a large collection of new poetry books for sale.

If you are attending in person, ticket purchase is required. Tickets will be available at the Beyond Baroque bookstore on the day of the event, but we recommend registering in advance through Eventbrite. Masks are encouraged while inside our center. Please arrive early.
Event attendees are expected to behave in a respectful and considerate manner while in our space. Beyond Baroque reserves the right to remove individuals from our events, virtual or otherwise, if they are not respecting the space, staff, fellow attendees, or performers.
