About this Event
Join the City of Calgary Archives and Calgary Parks at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary for a joint presentation on community involvement and conservation. The event will begin with a look at the Archival records related to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary in a talk hosted by Kristine Lehew, the archivist for the Parks Department. Following this presentation there will be a guided walking tour on the historic property with Calgary Parks staff where visitors will explore the ecology of the natural area, learn about new conservation efforts while stepping into the past.
Please note that this event includes an approximate hour-long walking tour around the Sanctuary. Participants will have the opprotunity to leave after the presentation if required. Please prepare accordingly with appropriate footwear and dressed for outdoor weather conditions. Trails are gravel.
