About this Event
A Community Fall Equinox Celebration
Join us for a heartfelt Fall Equinox Celebration at Ralph V. Chisholm Park on Sunday, September 21st, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. This is a beautiful opportunity to gather as a community and honor Mother Earth during this special time of balance and transition.
The fall equinox marks a moment of equal day and night, a natural pause where we can find equilibrium and reflect on the changing season. As the leaves begin to turn and the earth prepares for rest, we invite you to connect with nature and with one another.
Event Highlights
- Community Potluck Picnic: Bring a healthy, organic, or allergy-friendly dish to share. This is a chance to nourish our bodies and our community.
- Nature Mandala Creation: We'll gather natural elements from the park to create a beautiful, collaborative earth art piece, symbolizing our connection to the land and to each other.
- Water Release Ritual: Join us in a meaningful ritual to release what no longer serves us, working with the element of water to cleanse and find clarity.
- Community Sunset Guided Meditation: As the sun sets, we'll ground ourselves with a guided meditation to bring in balance and set intentions for the new season.
- Kids' Craft Table: This is a family-friendly event! A dedicated craft table will be available for our youngest community members to get creative.
Feel free to bring a water bottle, comfortable clothes, and a healthy dish to share. There's plenty of space to relax under the trees, play on the playground, and enjoy the waterfront as a community. On-site washrooms are available. Please note that the park closes around 7:20 PM, shortly after sunset.
This is a donation-based event, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly back into our community. The suggested donation is $15-$30.
You can sign up here on Eventbrite or donate directly to our non-profit to avoid extra fees. If you choose to donate directly, please use the Zeffy link below and title your donation "Fall Equinox" so we know you plan to join us.

Facilitators & Support
- Nature Mandala Creation: Guided by Jess Matos, an MS Holistic and Nature-Based Art Therapist dedicated to guiding others through the creative process as a pathway to healing and self-discovery. Her approach invites exploration through image, movement, and natural materials, where creativity becomes both a mirror and a medicine for growth, transformation, and resilience.
- Sunset Meditation: Guided by Cait Rainey, founder of Conscious Nona and a dedicated Qigong, sound, yoga, and meditation guide.
This event is proudly supported by the Board of Directors of Conscious Nona.
We can't wait to celebrate the equinox with you! Please reach out if you have any questions.
