About this Event
February invites us to slow down, to listen more deeply, and to rest in the quiet spaces between movements. This Ride the Rhythm is an invitation to honour the slowness and spaciousness of the season, to move gently, breathe fully, and allow the body to unfold at its own pace. Through music, presence, and conscious movement, Hassti Hamidi is the facilitator of the evening and will guide the dance, creating a spacious container where less effort makes room for deeper connection.
About Hassti Hamidi
Hassti Hamidi is an open-format DJ who creates immersive, multi-genre musical journeys. Her sets flow through World music, Ambient, New Age, Melodic House, Progressive House, Techno, Psytrance, Trance, Instrumental, Vocals, Jazz and even a touch of Rock and Roll. Designed to lift you up and bring you back down, her playlists leave dancers feeling saturated, satisfied, and more deeply connected. Hassti loves guiding dancers to unexpected places, inviting embodied exploration through soundscapes inspired by free expression and authentic movement.

What is Conscious Movement Practice/ Ecstatic Dance?
Conscious Movement Practice is a unique style of dance that is all about free expression and letting your body move to the beat of your own drum. Unlike traditional dance classes, there’s no choreography to follow or steps to learn. Instead, it’s all about letting go and allowing the music to guide you, enabling authentic movement exploration. Conscious Movement Practice has been demonstrated to help with stress and anxiety reduction, promoting alignment of mind, body, soul, and spirit. During a Conscious Movement Practice session, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for movement and self-exploration. Everyone, regardless of their dance experience, is welcome to participate and enjoy the fun.
