A new youth program in St. Catharines: the ECYD's Challenge program for girls; and the Conquest program for boys. The program will run September–May.We are currently seeking participants (grades JK–9) and teen leaders (grades 10–12).
Teen leaders will help the younger participants grow in faith, character, and friendship through fun activities, service, and mentorship.
The Conquest and Challenge clubs are administered by ECYD—an international Catholic network of youth clubs that aim to form school-age children and youth as Christian leaders through a mix of sports, virtue-based curriculum, and service. The clubs use a teen-led, team-based method, where older teens mentor younger members under adult supervision.
We are in the preliminary stages of developing these two new clubs in St. Catharines with the aim to start in September 2026. At this time, we are promoting this ongoing call for interest any anyone who is interested is asked to reach out via the website or come to one of the planned info sessions.
Information sessions—for all who are interested—will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas church basement hall (316 Queenston Street, St. Catharines ON), Mondays, May 4, May 11, May 18, and May 25, 5–6:30 pm.
The whole family is welcome and invited to attend any one or more of the info sessions. Discussion topics will include the curriculum, costs, commitment, and Q&A.
