Get out, get active, and get connected! Connections Social Outings offers a comfortable way to have fun and socialize with others who are living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. This program has been designed for persons with dementia to enjoy with their care partner(s). Today’s activity: Visit with Project Wildlife’s animal ambassador, Moki, and learn all about ravens.
RSVPs are required for Connections Social Outings. Please call 858.966.3296 to reserve a spot.
About Moki: Moki (Hawaiian for “Rascal”) is a common raven brought to Project Wildlife in 2000 as a hatchling with a broken wing. His injury did not heal completely enough for him to be able to survive on his own in the wild. As a result, we brought him into our education program and habituated him to humans and human behavior. Like all ravens, Moki is excellent at imitating sounds that he hears regularly, including the voice of his regular caregiver.
Space is limited, and RSVPs are required. Call us at 858.492.4400 to register and learn more.
