On 9th of November at 1pm we will meet and greet the first season of the year, the season of Autumn. Autumn carries many themes, importantly those of Letting Go, Loss, Grief and Respect. It is also a time to connect with our Ancestors and at this time the veils are thin and are ancestors are waiting to connect. Thus this is an ideal time to remember our ancestors and make a shrine dedicated to their memory
Workshop Itinerary
An afternoon spending time in nature to meet with the season that is Autumn.
Meeting at the venue for introductions, discussion, & time for questions.
We will begin a silent meditative walk. - Using all five senses we will listen to the messages Autumn sends us; Witness the beauty of this powerful time; Remember the smells and the feelings that Autumn evokes; Does Autumn have a taste for you?
Along the way you may gather anything in Nature that calls to you that you would like to add to your altar. (Do not worry there will be plenty of foraged things at the venue to build your shrine.)
Silently we will return to the venue and their will be time to journal and share your experiences with your fellow explorers, whilst enjoying a cup of warming tea.
Then building a shrine or an altar dedicated to your Ancestors, your deceased elders and any children who passed too soon, whom you wish to remember
After the altars are complete we will light the candles and you may choose to visit each alter
We will finish the day around the fire with more tea and a bowl of nourishing soup, there is time to reflect on your experiences of the day.
*Please wear clothing for all weathers we will be walking around nature and wellies are thoroughly recommended.
*Bring a journal and a pen to record your experiences, these can hold valuable memories as you reflect in the future.
*Bring Photos of the ancestors you wish to remember and any trinkets or objects that you would like to add to their shrine.
