Storytelling & Mask-Painting: A Creative Workshop for Veterans is a free, non-clinical, community-based creative experience led by SPARK! Creative Lab in partnership with Warriors for Freedom.
This two-hour workshop invites Veterans to explore storytelling, visual art, and conversation in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. Led by U.S. Navy Veteran Zack Milner, participants will use simple creative prompts and mask-painting to reflect on identity, service, transition, resilience, hope, and the many experiences that shape a life.
Together, we’ll explore personal stories and shared experiences—with no pressure to share—create a painted mask inspired by an aspect of your journey, and connect with fellow Veterans through conversation and creative expression.
No artistic experience is required. Participation is always optional. This is not therapy, but a collaborative creative exchange designed to foster connection, curiosity, and community.
