ConnectHer #6— More Than One Career with Chelsea
About this Event
Career paths are rarely straight, especially after moving to a new country.
Join us for an intimate ConnectHer Networking session with Chelsea Fraser, who will share her own experience of moving across very different careers and building a business alongside.
After graduating from university, she worked as an obstetrician in one of the top hospitals. Eight years in Japan, completing her PhD and working, before moving to Auckland, where she became a researcher at the University of Auckland. Later, Chelsea stepped into property development and wine exporting through her own business. She especially enjoyed the wine industry because it brought her into contact with people from all walks of life who shared a genuine passion for living well, connecting with others and enjoying what they do.
Today, she works with Crockers Property Management. For Chelsea, returning to a more structured role has also been a conscious choice, providing a steadier rhythm and schedule as she continues to pursue her other interests and business activities.
Chelsea’s journey is a great example of how skills, interests and opportunities can evolve over time and how one career does not necessarily have to replace another.
