Join us for our final Dinner Theatre event of 2024!
"Connected" – A Collaborative Journey Through Humanity, written by Voices of the Forgotten and arranged and directed by Kimberly McMurray.
“Connected” is a powerful and evocative performing arts experience that blends poetry, short stories, music, and dance to explore the shared human experience. This collaborative body of creative work shines a light on the universal emotions that bind us all—joy, sorrow, love, loss—and the undeniable truth that, despite our varied lives, we are more alike than different.
In a world that often emphasizes division, “Connected” brings us back to the core of our humanity. It strips away the labels, titles, and superficial judgments that separate us, urging us to see beyond appearances and embrace the stories and struggles that make us human. With every performance, you’ll be invited to step into the lives, hearts, and minds of everyday people—people you may know, or perhaps, people you’ve never met, but whose experiences resonate deeply within us all.
Through dynamic performances that include spoken word, music, and movement, *Voices of the Forgotten* tells the stories of individuals navigating both the highs and lows of life. As you reflect on their journeys, you’ll be prompted to reflect on your own, encouraging empathy, compassion, and understanding. Our hope is that you leave with a renewed sense of connection to those around you, inspired to bring kindness to every interaction, and maybe even uncovering a new story to learn from.
