CONNECT: Who Am I Now? Getting Ready for Change
About this Event
Who Am I Now? Getting Ready for Change
Change is a constant part of life, and increasingly, it's a constant part of work. So much of our sense of self gets tied up in our career: how we see ourselves, how we support our families, how we think about financial stability. In this session, panelists will explore what happens when that foundation shifts suddenly, through new parenthood, sudden loss, or an unplanned transition that upends the role you built your identity around. Together, they'll discuss the challenge of holding multiple identities at once, parent, leader, mentor, teacher, and how those roles evolve, collide, and redefine one another over a career and a life. For anyone navigating this kind of change themselves, and for the leaders responsible for supporting someone through it, the conversation surfaces the common threads underlying very different kinds of change: how identity is dismantled, rebuilt, and renegotiated, and what steadies people as they figure out who they're becoming next.
