Join Tacoma Citizens for Safer Streets and Tacoma On the Go to kickoff the campaign for Connect Tacoma: Safe Streets & Sidewalks!
The Connect Tacoma: Safe Streets & Sidewalks levy is about keeping Tacoma moving safely and efficiently — whether our friends, kids, and neighbors are walking, biking, taking transit, or driving. This measure helps fund basic needs like filling potholes, repairing streets, adding sidewalks, and improving accessibility in every neighborhood. It builds off the successful work of the expired Streets Initiative to invest in Tacoma’s streets, without raising taxes from the previous rate.
Meet at Willard School for a kickoff at 1pm to hear more about why this levy matters and meet others interested in safe streets for all in Tacoma. After that, we’ll head out to talk to voters about this critical levy. No canvassing experience is needed. We’ll provide training, materials, and everything you need.
Come knock doors, connect with neighbors, and help build a safer Tacoma!
