About this Event
A new group show opens in Vancouver on Saturday, June 24th in Vancouver, BC. The show is located at Alternative Creations Studio in East Vancouver,1659 Venables St and runs until June 30th
The show will feature work from seven artists across BC and is a part of the Taking Up Space initiative by the Thrive Together Network. Taking Up Space or T.U.S. is a grassroots community global art exhibition for artists of genders underrepresented in the art world.
The featured artists consist of Ember Muninn, Teresa Selbee-Baker, Erin Saguenay Green, Polly Robinson, Kara Brauen, Kelci Perejda, and Amanda MacLeod. The artists in this show cover a wide range of subject matter and materials, from print media and embroidery to sculpture and painting.
Individual work will be available for purchase and donations from the community are welcome.
We will be donating part of our proceeds to @alternativecreationsstudio — an art studio dedicated to providing the space & opportunity for people with developmental disabilities to share their creativity.
