Connect & Thrive Networking Event

We are delighted to invite you to join us at our third 'Connect and Thrive' event on 1st February at The LightHouse and Gardens, 38 Celebration Avenue, E20 1DB . This is a free business networking event for local businesses, CICs, Charities, Sole traders and entrepreneurs.

We have some guest speakers including Charlie Duckworth, Director at Community Saunas CIC , who have just opened their second site in the gardens in IQL North Stratford.

Community Sauna Baths CIC was founded in 2021 by a group of sauna enthusiasts disappointed by the lack of affordable, authentic sauna culture in the UK. Since then, the CIC has aimed to spread the community-building and health benefits of sauna throughout east London and beyond. Charlie will be sharing his insights into setting up and running a local CIC with a real focus on inclusivity and supporting diverse communities.

Connect & Thrive was born out of conversations that took place at Populo Living’s International Women’s Day event where it transpired that there is a real desire for a space for people to meet in a relaxed and informal way in order to share ideas, connect with others in the area and discuss our businesses, projects and potential partnerships.

There are so many people doing incredible things in Stratford & Newham and we believe there are even more opportunities that we can create by coming together and having conversations. We see the group as a place where business knowledge and skills can also be shared and exchanged, however we also want it to evolve organically into something that works for everyone so your input and suggestions will be welcomed.
