👷♀️🚧👷♂️ Ages 7+ due to equipment use and safety requirements.
Join us for a hands-on quarry digging experience! We'll begin with a brief introduction to the quarry's history, local geology, and Rhode Island's state gemstone, bowenite, before heading into the dig area to search for treasures of your own.
🚨 Minimum of 50 attendees required. If we exceed the minimum, a discounted final price may be possible, and any adjustments will be provided before the event date, as was the Hidden Gem event. Space is limited, so reserve your spots early! Feel free to share this event with other homeschoolers only.
Cost: $10 per person, parents and children.
📝 To reserve your spot:
1. Send me a message with the number of people attending.
2. Send payment via Venmo (Venmo information will be posted below in "Payment Info" post).
3. Your spot is not reserved until payment is received.
4. Once payment is received, your spot is confirmed.
⚠️ Important:
• No refunds.
• If you can no longer attend, you are responsible for finding someone to take your spot.
• If all spots are filled, a waitlist will be started.
🚨 Day of the Event:
-Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin on time.
-Park in lot off Wilbur Road.
-Parents are required to stay and supervise their children, keep away from pit and water. Each family is responsible for monitoring their own children and ensuring safe tool use.
-The event will last approximately 3 hours, though families may leave earlier if desired.

Anyone interested is welcome to join us for a casual picnic lunch at Lincoln Woods Pond, just 5 minutes away. Pack a lunch, blanket, swimsuit, and outdoor toys if you'd like to stay and enjoy the afternoon. The area has restrooms, changing rooms, a snack bar, and lifeguards.
