About this Event

Last year BAJI attended the United Nations inaugural session Permanent Forum on People of African Descent (PFPAD). Join BAJI’s accompanying event as we address current anti-Black immigration policies and protocols that treat Black people's migration in search of freedom and human flourishing as warranting draconian, punitive, violent, and sometimes deadly responses by governments and their agencies all over the world.

Moderated by Ronald Claude, Policy Director, Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI)

Stella Opoku-Owusu, Co-Director, African Foundation for Development (AFFORD)

Rev. Lamont Anthony Wells - Executive Director, Network of ELCA Colleges and Universities (NECU)

Nisrin Elamin’s work investigates the connections between land, race, belonging and empire-making in Sudan and the broader Sahel region.

Nana Gyamfi, Executive Director, Black Alliance for Just Immigration
