The public conference organised as part of 2026 ALLEA General Assembly in Warsaw will contribute to the evolving European policy debate on safeguarding academic freedom and strengthening the independence of research, particularly within the framework of the forthcoming ERA Act. By fostering dialogue among key stakeholders, it aims to identify concrete approaches to reinforcing Europe’s research sovereignty and enabling sustainable, mutually beneficial academic exchange - including through enhanced mechanisms for brain circulation.
