About this Event
Conference on the State of Artificial Intelligence in Africa (COSAA) is organised by the Strathmore Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology (CIPIT) in partnership with International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
It is an interdisciplinary gathering of AI and data stakeholders spanning business, ICT, academia, legal, policy, and regulatory fields, as well as civil society, COSAA 2023 will feature inspirational keynotes, thought provoking panels, an exhibition of next-generation AI technologies developed by Africans, and limitless opportunities for high-level networking. A primary goal of COSAA is to promote the exchange of ideas among attendees to broaden AI research in Africa. COSAA will investigate the vibrant emerging AI ecosystem on the African continent.
