Conejo Mindfulness Community - Sunday Morning Meditation

Conejo Mindfulness Community is a peer-led group focused on mindfulness practice. It is also an opportunity to foster connection and meaningful relationships within our local community. Our practice aims to be as secular and inclusive as possible while respecting the experience, identities, and beliefs of all individuals.

Our practice starts with an opportunity for all participants to introduce themselves followed by a 30 minute seated guided meditation led by a member. After the meditation, there will be an opportunity for the group to reflect on the meditation, their own personal practice, offer feedback or suggestions, and ask questions. After that, feel free to stick around and socialize! Any contributions are welcome (e.g. snacks, beverages, etc.).

We do meet outside, so you may wish to bring a folding chair, zafu and/or zabuton (meditation cushion), blanket, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. for a more pleasant experience. Other groups and families may be sharing the space with us, so we will use a yellow foam pool noodle sticking out of the ground to mark our spot! Pets are welcome too!
