Conducting Tele-Mental Health Assessments for Immigration Cases

PLEASE NOTE: This training is a two-part series. Attendance for both April 4th and 8th is required in order to receive CEUs.

This event is designed for licensed mental health professionals interested in the intersection of mental health and immigration. With the growing need for comprehensive mental health assessments in immigration cases, this training aims to equip attendees with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively conduct mental health assessments to support immigrants.
Key Objectives:

• Define various types of immigration relief and types of evaluations;
  -Asylum
  -Hardship
  -VAWA
  -U Visa
  -T Visa
• Discuss the ethical considerations of conducting immigration evaluations;
• Review assessment and interviewing skills; and
• Learn the process of writing evaluation reports.
• Upon completing of training, participant will have access to Girasol’s training materials, templates, and sample letters, and our free consultation group.
