Conditioning Play
Two trans men meet through weight-lifting training. Kel, in his early 20s, is stealth and struggles with accepting his transness as anything but a detriment. Charlie, in his late 20s, transitioned later in life and sees his transness as an inherent part of his manhood. The two discuss love, sex, dysphoria, and masculinity across three traditionally male settings: the gym, the bar, and the bedroom. Premiering at SPARK Theatre Fest in late October.
