Op vrijdag 22 mei komt de legendarische Britse producer en muzikant David Harrow naar Concerto voor een speciaal in-store optreden.
Harrow is vooral bekend als de man achter de baanbrekende muziek voor Anne Clark, waaronder de iconische tracks “Sleeper in Metropolis” en “Our Darkness” – elektronische klassiekers uit de jaren ’80 die nog altijd hun invloed laten voelen op wave, techno en elektronische muziek.
Daarnaast maakte Harrow jarenlang deel uit van het invloedrijke On-U Sound universum van Adrian Sherwood, waar hij werkte met artiesten en projecten als Lee “Scratch” Perry, Jah Wobble, Bim Sherman, Dub Syndicate, African Head Charge en Strange Parcels. Ook daarbuiten werkte hij met uiteenlopende artiesten en scenes: van remixwerk voor Depeche Mode tot samenwerkingen met Andrew Weatherall (o.a. als Deanne Day) en releases op het Sabres of Paradise label onder de naam Technova.
Door de jaren heen trad hij live op met onder andere Psychic TV en Björk, en bracht hij muziek uit onder verschillende aliassen, waaronder James Hardway en Oicho.
In zijn recente werk verkent hij nieuw sonisch terrein, met een gestage stroom nieuwe releases beschikbaar op zijn Bandcamp, waarmee hij een carrière voortzet die decennia van elektronische innovatie overspant.

On Friday May 22, legendary British producer and musician David Harrow will perform a special in-store set at Concerto in Amsterdam.
Harrow is known as the musical force behind Anne Clark’s groundbreaking work, including the iconic tracks “Sleeper in Metropolis” and “Our Darkness” — electronic classics from the 1980s that continue to influence wave, techno and electronic music today.
He was also a key figure within Adrian Sherwood’s influential On-U Sound universe, working with artists and projects such as Lee “Scratch” Perry, Jah Wobble, Bim Sherman, Dub Syndicate, African Head Charge and Strange Parcels.
