About the Artist:
Kokle performer Katrina Macuka is a student at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, currently furthering her studies through the Erasmus program at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Katrina is a winner of numerous international competitions. Several Latvian composers have dedicated new compositions to her, showcasing her artistry. During her time in Stockholm, she has focused on classical music and adapting pieces originally written for the harp, koto, and other instruments for the concertkokle. This concert is a wonderful opportunity to discover the beauty of the Latvian kokle!
