Suzie Vinnick

Suzie Vinnick is a Canadian blues and roots artist known for her soulful voice, expressive guitar and bass work, and warm, engaging stage presence. Based in the Niagara Region of Ontario, she performs across Canada, the U.S., and internationally, and is equally at home in concert halls, listening rooms, festivals, and collaborative musical settings.

Alongside her performing career, Vinnick is an award-winning songwriter whose work has been recognized internationally. She is a two-time International Songwriting Competition Blues Category winner (1st Place) for her co-writes “The Honey I Want” and “Sometimes I Think I Can Fly,” and received the Grand Prize from the North California Songwriters Association for her co-write “All That I Ask For.” Her songs have also placed in competitions including MerleFest, Unisong, NSAI, and OCFF Songs From the Heart, and have been featured in film and television.

Her career includes extensive touring and shared stages with artists such as Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Daniel Lanois, Downchild, Stuart McLean’s Vinyl Café tours, Lloyd Spiegel, and Beppe Gambetta. She has opened for John Hammond Jr. and for JJ Cale, who later invited her to join him onstage for a couple of songs.

Vinnick is a three-time Juno nominee, a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award winner (Contemporary Singer of the Year), and a 12-time Maple Blues Award recipient. Her most recent album, Fall Back Home, reflects her roots-driven songwriting and road-tested musicianship, shaped by the same warmth, humour and authenticity that define her live performances.
