It will be a very special concert. You’ll hear, among other works, the marvellous Piano Quintet by Juliusz Zarębski, composed here in Brussels while he was a professor at the Royal Conservatory. The renowned Polish ensemble, the Lutosławski Quartet, will be among the performers. Entry is free. This will be one of the last events in the concert hall of the Royal Conservatory in Brussels before it closes for a long period of renovation. Plus, my French-speaking friends will have a holiday the next day—do you need more reasons to come? A very special concert featuring music composed by 19th-century Polish composers for whom Brussels and the Royal Conservatory became home. Among the works, you will hear the marvellous Piano Quintet by Juliusz Zarębski. Although still not widely known, it belongs to the pantheon of chamber music. Zarębski himself was a favorite pupil of Franz Liszt. Among the performers, you will find Poland's leading string quartet Lutosławski Quartet. In summary, this will be an exceptional concert in many ways. You are warmly welcome!
