Now in its 34th year, Concert of Colors is one of the nation's longest-running and largest free global music festivals. Held annually throughout Midtown Detroit, the festival brings together artists from around the world for a celebration of music, culture, and community. San Francisco's Kronos Quartet has spent decades at the forefront of revolutionizing the string quartet into a living art form that responds to the people and issues of our time. For Concert of Colors, they perform “Glorious Mahalia,” a new work honoring gospel queen Mahalia Jackson.
