L’Ensemble Rejoyce regroupe des étudiants de la prestigieuse Université de Cambridge, (Royaume-Uni), tous membres du chœur de Trinity College, Cambridge, classé parmi les meilleurs chœurs au monde par Classic FM et Gramophone.Après deux semaines de tournée en Italie et en Allemagne, c’est sur la côte basque, forte d’une longue tradition de chant polyphonique, que ces jeunes musiciens viendront partager leur passion en interprétant un répertoire de polyphonie vocale anglaise à neuf voix, de la Renaissance à nos jours (Byrd, Purcell, Britten, jusqu’aux Beatles), et les Trois Chansons pour chœur de Maurice Ravel, natif de la baie de Saint-Jean-de-Luz et Ciboure.

Ensemble Rejoyce comprises nine choral scholars from the famous choir of Trinity College, Cambridge, voted fifth best choir in the world by Gramophone. On tour in the Pays basque, they are bringing with them the richness of English vocal polyphony, which they will blend with the Basque melodies of Maurice Ravel in a unique intercultural concert. The programme spans four centuries of the English musical tradition, from the Renaissance to the present day, with choral masterpieces by Byrd, Purcell, Britten and the Beatles. They will pay tribute to Maurice Ravel, a native of the bay of St-Jean-de-Luz and Ciboure, with a performance of his Trois Chansons pour choeur. Festive music in an authentic British atmosphere.
