The Young Performers Foundation, in partnership with Shevchenko Scientific Society and Ukrainian National Women’s League of America, presents a powerful musical tribute commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl catastrophe. Renowned pianist Pavlo Gintov, violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv and pianist Steven Beck will perform a deeply expressive program ranging from Viktor Kosenko’s romantic Two Pieces to Oleksandr Povolotsky’s contemporary February Diary.
Through evocative melodies and dynamic arrangements, this concert honors the 1986 tragedy while celebrating the vibrant and enduring legacy of Ukraine’s musical heritage.
The concert is under the patronage of Ambassador Andrii Melnyk and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations, as well as Consul Natalia Musienko and the Consulate General of Ukraine in New York.
