The BBF was formed in 2016 from the collaboration of minds, different yet alike, of Pietro Brunetti,
Claudio Banelli, and Carlo Forgiarini, who together share a great passion for the sound of the 60s and 70s.
After the release of their first album 'Beside Everything We Need 70s,' encompassing influences ranging
from early funk to grunge, the trio decided to seclude themselves in a moment of profound introspection
that would help them evolve, overcome their obstacles, and venture into new, more refined sounds,
distant from their debut.
In November 2018, they secluded themselves in the '1911 analog recording studio' and after 5 days of
intense work, completed their second work, 'Outside the noise.' Completely recorded and mixed in analog,
this LP aims to be a conceptual work that encapsulates the continuous human pursuit of self-awareness.
With this latest album, which will be part of Argonauta Records' catalog, with whom the band signed a
contract in 2019, BBF aims to create a musical experience that draws from both the past and the present
to spread their message.
In 2020, the trio released a self-produced EP titled 'The Lost Funk Tapes,' containing 4 instrumental funk
tracks, referencing old soundtracks and admiring bands like Calibro 35. In April, they were supposed to
embark on their first European tour thanks to Leynir Booking, but unfortunately, COVID forced them to halt
their plans. At the beginning of 2021, they released another self-produced EP called 'Nightshift jams.'
In 2022, still thanks to Argonauta Records, the band released their third studio album titled 'I will be found,'
a record that summarizes the great restlessness the band experienced in the previous 2 years. In the
latter part of 2022, BBF performed on various stages and successfully completed their first European tour,
taking them to Eastern Europe for a unique experience. In 2023, the band returned to work on their sound,
reshuffling the deck, aiming to improve and work on a new album. Additionally, in 2024, the band will hit
the road again for their second European tour.
