The King of the Double Reeds - Music from Three Centuries for Bassoon and Piano
Zachary Feingold, Bassoon

Come hear and learn about the largest instrument in the Woodwind Family. Music by French, German and American Composers.
Zachary Feingold maintains an active career as a performer and educator. Originally from New Jersey, he currently resides in Philadelphia where he has recently been appointed Second Bassoon of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. Additionally, he serves as Principal Bassoon of both the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey and the Berkshire Opera Festival in Great Barrington, MA. Zachary has performed with many professional ensembles including the Philadelphia Ballet, Princeton Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, and the Delaware Symphony. He has made notable guest principal appearances with the New World Symphony and the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. Zachary serves on the faculties of The University of Delaware and Rowan University and has presented master classes at numerous institutions, including Rutgers University and Grand Valley State University. He has been invited to perform with the National Repertory Orchestra as well as other prestigious festivals including Festival Napa Valley, Hot Springs Music, and the Trentino Music Festival in the Italian Dolomites. Zachary received both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Temple University and has furthered his studies at Rutgers University. His principal teachers include Roger Nye, Michelle Rosen, and Angela Anderson Smith.
Jeff holds the Lilian Kraus Felber Distinguished Faculty Chair in Piano at the Settlement Music School where he has taught for over 30 years. He performs regularly as a collaborative pianist with many outstanding singers and instrumentalists – including many members of the Metropolitan Opera and the Philadelphia Orchestra.
