Course Brief: So you’ve got your Concealed Carry Permit, now what? This 4 Hour class covers those very next steps that everyone planning to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense SHOULD learn. Course is designed for proficient handgun shooters comfortable with static range shooting, this is not for newer shooters or those with limited handgun experience. Designed as a next step from being a range and target shooter to successfully carrying a pistol on the street. Bring your unloaded pistol, ammo, along with a notepad and pen AND an open mind. We will cover everything you SHOULD know BEFORE you carry your pistol in public.

- Correct Combative Shooting Platform
- Grip and Optimal Gun Fit for Success under Stress
- Sighting Fundamentals
- Trigger Management
- Recoil Management
- Sub-conscious Aiming
- Reality of Gun Fights (The Fight Before, During and After)
- Understanding Defensive Ammunition & Selection Criteria
- Situational Awareness & Tactical Planning
- Fighting Mindset
- Concealment Holsters, Carry Options, Belts
- Carry Positions
- Understanding and Using Physical and Psychological Reactions to Lethal Force Confrontations
- On-Range Coaching and Personal Recommendations
Skills and Requirements Needed Coming Into this Class:
- Must be comfortable shooting on your own in a traditional static range environment.
- Must have shot at least 500 rounds within last 12 months through the gun you will be using prior to this class.
- Must understand how your gun functions and be able to load, unload, show clear. Students who need help with loading or unloading their firearm (or magazine) or struggle with understanding and handling basic malfunctions are not prepared for this class.
- Must be familiar and competent with your chosen handgun and using consistent fundamentals at a level of Unconscious Competency.
- For semi-automatic handguns, must be able to pull the slide back and lock it open (back) and clear a malfunction (jam).
- Must demonstrate a firm understanding of and respect for basic firearm safety rules and range etiquette.
- Must have concealed weapons license or provide a copy of a recent criminal background check.
If you would like help with any of the above, we recommend booking a Private Training Session with one of our instructors prior to attending this class.
Prerequisite Courses which will Help You Obtain the Above Skills but are Not Mandatory:
- Introduction to Handgun
- Private Instruction
Equipment List:
- Your Chosen Handgun for Concealed Carry
- Minimum of 2 Magazines for Semi-Automatic or Speed Loaders for Revolver (The more you bring, the less time you waste reloading!)
- 150 Rounds Ammunition (This may be purchased at the range.)
- Full-wrap Eye and Ear Protection (This may be purchased at the range.)
- Closed-toe Shoes
- No V-neck or Tank-top Shirts
- Pen and Paper
All students must arrive with the equipment/clothing listed above. Those without the required equipment will not be able to participate in the on-range portion of the course.
Maximum Student to Instructor Ratio: 5:1
Maximum Number of Students: 5 depending on location
Booking and Cancellation Policy:
Full payment will be due to the instructor at the start of class, cash or credit. A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. This card will not be charged unless you incur one of the following fees:
$25 Administrative Fee for any schedule changes or cancellations (regardless of cause)
$75 Late Cancellation Fee for changes or cancellations made within 7 days of class.
$175 No Show Fee for cancellations received within 24 hours of the class and no shows.
