Con Alma - Film Festival at Hollywood Park - LA Premiere!

Magos Herrera and Paola Prestini, two renowned international musicians, created a long-distance music strategy to build community and foster empathy in a time of uncertainty. From this collaboration, and with the participation of more than 30 outstanding musicians from different parts of the world, the album "Con Alma" was born.

Director Biography - Marta Ferrer Carne, Pedro Gonzalez Rubio

MARTA FERRER| Catalan filmmaker (1982)Marta graduated from the Escuela de Cine y Audiovisual de Catalunya as a cinematographer. In 2006 she studied documentary at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (Mexico). It was in Mexico that Marta became involved in the documentary language and all its creative possibilities, becoming her medium to discover and understand the world. Marta filmed EL VARAL (Best Documentary, Guanajuato Festival 2010) and A MORIR EN LOS DESIERTOS (2017), about the traditional Cardenche singing of northern Mexico. In 2020 she premiered BALSAM on Televisión de Catalunya, a documentary series that portrays diverse social and cultural groups through their music.

PEDRO GONZALEZ RUBIO | Mexican filmmaker (1976)This multi-award winning filmmaker studied Fine Arts at London Film School. Pedro often films, directs and edits his own documentaries. Among his works and awards are TORO NEGRO (Best Documentary, Morelia Film Festival 2005; Horizons Award, San Sebastian IFF (2005), ALAMAR (Tiger Award, Rotterdam FF 2010), INORI (Golden Leopard, Locarno FF 2012), ANTÍGONA (2018). He has also participated as a cinematographer in several projects filmed in Africa, Europe and the USA.
