Are you a developer of embedded hardware or a decision maker for industrial computer technology? Then this training is made for you!
Be quick: Only 20 participants
Learn the basics of hardware development with computer-on-modules. You will gather practical insights on how module standards differ from each other and how to select the appropriate standard for your next embedded project. In addition, all design basics will be explained, and help offered in planning your first steps. And of course you will get hands-on information on how to start a schematic design and where to obtain support and answers to your questions.
Furthermore various interfaces of your device-to-be will be introduced. Plus you will receive valuable information on choosing the right interfaces. Thermal and mechanical concepts complete the course content.

* If a decision is made to implement a computer-on-module, how can the necessary documentation be obtained?

Your Trainer: Martin Unverdorben
Martin Unverdorben started his career 25 years ago as a trainer for communications technology, before joining Kontron as a Field Application Engineer. He is currently product manager, responsible for the SMARC and COM-HPC Client product lines. He is a member of the board of the Standardization Group for Embedded Technologies (SGET) and chairman of SDT.01, the standard development team responsible for the SMARC module specification. He was also the editor of the Open Standard Module (OSM) specification and the COM Express Design Guide. He is married, has a daughter, and has an ongoing interest in other cultures and new technologies.
Martin Unverdorben is your instructor and he will address individual questions and help with specific troubleshooting as required. At the end of the workshop, attendees will receive a confirmation of participation.
