Straight out of Chicago’s South Side, Tyree Cooper was there when House Music exploded from underground warehouse parties into a global revolution. A true pioneer, he helped shape the raw, squelching sound of Acid House and co-created Hip House alongside DJ Fast Eddie - fusing jackin’ house beats with hip-hop energy and taking the music worldwide.

His classic anthems lit up dancefloors in the late ’80s and still hit just as hard today: the acid-soaked fire of “Acid Over”, the bass-pumping party starter “Turn Up The Bass” (feat. Kool Rock Steady), and early bangers like “I Fear The Night” and “Let’s Get Hyped”. Released on legendary imprints like DJ International Records, these tracks defined an era and influenced generations of house, techno, and beyond.

From early days spinning alongside Farley Jackmaster Funk, Ron Hardy, and Frankie Knuckles influences, to dropping heat on Trax, Dance Mania, and his own Chicago Vinyl Records (which he runs to this day), Tyree has never stopped creating and preserving that authentic Chicago sound. Now based in Las Vegas, this living legend continues to deliver high-energy sets packed with classics and fresh tracks that bridge the old school with the new.
