Compounding Experience & Tour of USF Health TCOP Downtown

Participants will have a hands-on experience in our Clinical Learning Center where they will compound a cream. This is an opportunity to learn first-hand about the exciting world of Ph*rm*cy. Students will hear from our faculty and current students. Current students will take you around the building so that you can get a sense of what life is like as a Ph*rm*cy student at USF TCOP.

Info: You'll want to budget in extra time to ensure you arrive on time. Please plan to be in the lobby by 2:55pm because we will need to promptly begin at 3pm. Note that you will find the closest parking in the Cumberland Parking Garage, which is located at 1045 E Cumberland Ave Tampa, FL 33602. From there, you will be able to walk over to the USF Health Downtown Building, which is located at 560 Channelside Drive, Tampa, FL 33602. Before you leave, we will be sure to provide you with a validation ticket for the parking. You will keep the parking ticket that you get when entering the parking garage. When you get ready to exit, you'll put that ticket into the kiosk. If you notice the price that comes up is already less than $9, then you don't have to insert the validation ticket - only follow the next step if the price you see is MORE. Next, you'll put the validation ticket we provide you with into the kiosk (this is what will make the cost $9 instead of the normal rate - $5 per hour).

Info: Some of our current PharmD students will take you around on a tour of the building. You'll be able to ask them questions about their transition to Ph*rm*cy school and attending school in the Downtown Building.

Info: You are welcome to take advantage of quickly strolling around Channelside or perhaps grabbing a quick bite to eat to go over at Sparkman's Wharf or one of the surrounding restaurants. Just know that if you parked in the Cumberland Parking Garage, the validation ticket that you get expires at 5:59pm, so you'll have to be out of the parking garage by then or you could be charged the event parking rate, which could be ~$55. So, just make sure you are back to the Parking Garage and exiting before 5:59pm to prevent any extra charges outside of the $9 from the validation.
