About this Event

Event Overview

Join us for a fun and interactive community workshop where you'll learn the basics of turning everyday food scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich compost.

This beginner-friendly session will introduce the benefits of composting, what materials can and cannot be composted, and how to build and maintain a healthy compost system at home or in a community garden. Participants will also have the opportunity to see composting in action and ask questions throughout the workshop.

We'll cover:

  • The benefits of composting for gardens and the environment
  • What can and cannot go into your compost
  • How to build and maintain a healthy compost pile or bin
  • Tips for preventing odors and common composting problems
  • Questions, discussion, and hands-on learning

Cost: Free

Registration: Registration not required.
