Composition in the Field - Photography Workshop

In the heart of Orlando, heading South on Mills Street, you may turn left at a small short residential road called Greenwood Street. After passing about 500 feet of residential homes you will enter the 19 acres of Greenwood Wetlands Park. You will travel another 900 feet along its southern edge. Here on your left you will see a pristine grassy field sloping downward into Greenwood Lake surrounded by tall Cypress trees. A cement footpath followed by a bridge will bring you to a peaceful island where you are alone with your thoughts, to be broken only by an occasional dog walker. This is an appropriate place for the entrance to Orlando’s Greenwood Cemetery. The cemetery itself is the burial place of Orlando’s many war veterans, among its other citizens. It is visited by more than just family members of the dead. Bird watchers and wildlife photographers come to see its active Bald Eagle’s nest and Coyote’s den.
