Composers & Authors in Conversation

Join PJCE for a preview event of Playing With Words featuring a discussion between writers Stephanie Andams-Santos, Josephine Woodward, and Waka T. Brown and composers Gordon Lee, Hans Barklis, and Tim Willcox. Authors and composers will be moderated by PJCE Artistic Director, Ryan Meagher. The discussion will revolve around the creative process behind the new music that will be performed on November 1st at PSU as part of Literary Arts' Portland Book Festival. The November 1st concert will feature PJCE's 12-piece jazz band performing the works inspired by 2024 Oregon Book Award nominees.
