About this Event
You hear about it in the news. Maybe someone you know has experienced workplace violence. What would you do? Is your company prepared for a possible workplace violence event? The changing scene of the world has resulted in a need to prepare in advance for an event that could happen at any time, anywhere.
On September 30, 2023, Governor Newsom signed into law Senate Bill (S.B.) No. 553, which requires virtually all public and private employers in California to design, implement, and maintain a workplace violence prevention plan (“WVPP”) and training program(s) by July 1, 2024.
This seminar will help employers understand these new requirements and steps needed to develop your WVPP in time, which includes developing an education plan to educate managers and persons in charge, and conducting required annual training for all employees.
Join us as we learn how to comply with this new law and what our obligations are as an employer.
