Blakk Jakk Dance Collective is hosting 2026–27 Season Auditions for community dancers and company dancers!
Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
Time: 2:30–5:00 PM
Location: 3663 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH
This is a welcoming space for dancers who want to grow in technique, performance, and community — rooted in African diaspora movement, storytelling, and cultural pride.
What to bring: water + comfortable dance attire.
What to expect: warm-up, across-the-floor/technique, combo, performance, and a bit of freestyle.

Who Can Audition:
- Adults: Ages 18+
- Youth Ensemble: Ages 11–17
What to Expect:
- Group warm-up
- Learn & perform a short combo (styles: hip hop fusion, Afro beats, contemporary, and more)
- Freestyle/improv round
- Q&A about the company, expectations, and upcoming opportunities
How to Prepare:
- Wear comfortable dance attire & sneakers
- Bring water and an open mind
- Arrive early for check-in
