About this Event
The Congregational Collective and Family Life International Ministries are inviting you to attend a Companionship Training featuring and facilitated by Rev. Jermine Alberty, a nationally acclaimed trainer and expert. This half-day interactive training is designed to help you gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to build genuine relationships with people in need. Participants will be introduced to the revolutionary Companionship Model, which has five important tenets: hospitality, neighboring, side-by-side, listening, and accompaniment.
Companionship training will equip you to enter supportive relationships with those in distress. Workshop participants will also learn the importance of integrating Companionship into their churches and communities.
THE MODEL OF COMPANIONSHIP

Companionship is…
- An essential relationship between two human beings
- A response to isolation and distress
- A public relationship
- Springs from a firm belief in the mutuality in the relationship between two people.
