Kara's Bio:
Kara is a certified yoga teacher who has been teaching since 2017. She enjoys guiding people of all levels of experience into a meaningful yoga practice. In addition to yoga, she leads meditations and retreats, and offers healing work with Dancing Goose Therapeutics. She enjoys hiking, gardening, and writing, and is working on "staying on her bike" up in the Manitou hills.
Colin’s bio:
ERYT-500
Colin began his yoga journey almost 30 years ago and has been teaching on and off the past 20 years. He officially began his yoga training in 1999 at Yoga Works in Santa Monica, CA under the tutelage of incredible yogis such as:
Maty Ezraty, Chuck Miller, Annie Carpenter, Lisa Walford, Paul Cabanis, Chris Stein, Marla Apt, Seane Corn, and Vinnie Marino to name a few.
Following a life altering accident in 2011, he began to use yoga and other eastern modalities as a means to heal when western medicine failed him. His yoga journey led him back to Core Power Yoga where he has completed Teacher Trainings in multiple formats over the last few years, while strengthening and realigning his physical, spiritual, and emotional self.
Colin LOVES Anatomy and Physiology, which he first studied while pursuing a degree in Biology and Chemistry while living in Boston. His classes are anatomically based for student safety and deeper understanding and connection to the self.
Colin has studied multiple modalities of intuitive energy healing work and has practiced energy work for almost 20 years. He is a Reiki Master and Crystal Reiki Master and commonly uses crystals in everything he does.
He has taught yoga to all ages from 5-95 and has worked with a broad spectrum of students from Special Needs to Stroke survivors, athletes to injury rehab. He caters his yoga to meet the needs of his students and always provides a safe, fun, and loving environment for everyone who arrives at the mat for his class to grow, heal, and evolve!
He is a life long professional performer with a degree in Theater/Vocal Performance and an emphasis on technical design.
With his background in performance Colin was called to the musical realm of sound healing in which he incorporates Tibetan Bowls, Crystal singing bowls, tympanic drum beats, tuning forks, chanting, etc. in Sound Bath ceremonies.
He sends his gratitude and love to this community and his husband Tom, without whom, Colin would not be here today.
