Community Volunteer Day

Interested in volunteering at Smith-Gilbert Gardens? Join us with friends and family for one or all of our 2026 Community Volunteer Days!Registration is free and required to participate. Children are welcome to join with parents- 8 years and over recommended (there will be a parent consent form on site at check-in for your child to participate). For children under 13, one adult required per child. The volunteer project will begin at 10AM and conclude by Noon. We will provide all of the tools and gloves but you are also welcome to bring your own. We suggest wearing pants to help protect your knees, and long sleeves to protect your arms. Bring your water bottle too!Monday, September 7, 10AM-12PM: We will be beautifying the Gateway Garden at the entry of the Gardens. Monday, October 12, 10AM - 12PM: In honor of Indigenous People’s Day, we will be planting winter annuals in the Gardens.
