Community Town Hall Meeting: California Reparations
California lawmakers are pushing bills related to Reparations and Reparative Justice right now. This Town Hall is an opportunity to get knowledge and contribute your ideas to real-world Reparations and Reparative Justice efforts.
Come out for a free in-person community Town Hall event at 4276 Crenshaw Blvd (yellow building next to the Mcdonald's).

- California American Freedmen Affairs Agency Bill AB-1315 (Republicans)

AB-1315 would create the California American Freedmen Affairs Agency (CAFAA) to help residents verify that they are descendants of formerly enslaved people emancipated from Chattel Slavery in the U.S. AB-1315 formally identifies and recognizes American Freedmen as a distinct foundational American population and CAFAA will provide free Genealogy services to residents through a new Office of American Freedmen Genealogy.
