Hello!
We will be hosting the Community Thanksgiving Dinner, on Thanksgiving Day, at the St. Benedict Prep Gym. The door is open to all. Please come and join us. No charge - no pre-registration for guests. The dinner is served from 11:00 - 1:00 PM. You will also be able to take home some food-to-go. Come and celebrate with us!
Looking for a volunteer opportunity? Please check our sign-up sheet. There are spots on the 27th and 28th. Looking to share a good dinner with others? Please come or send others. There is no charge, criteria, or prior sign-up required for those just coming to eat. All are welcome. Volunteers can also eat. The dinner begins at 11:00 a.m., so there may still time for you to visit with others later in the day, if you help.
(Note: Regarding young volunteers: children can volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For safety, no one under the age of 16 can help in the kitchen or stand/serve in hot food or coffee lines, but cold food is OK.) All volunteers can partake in the meal. We are also in need of a wide assortment of food and other items to make this dinner possible. We have changed our format and location to allow for more spacing and safety. Financial donations are also very, very helpful - as we will shop for needed items and food (contact me). We typically provide around 1,200 servings annually but do not know what this year will look like.
We hope you will join us or send those in need.
We are so thankful for the blessings and generosity of many as we join together in serving our community.
