This is a continuation of our summer Teen Art Space, now with a collaborative project opportunity.
Drue Smith, clinician and art therapist from South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services (SPBHS) will continue facilitating this program, now from 4-6 pm on Wednesdays, and for several weeks will be joined by sculptor and teaching artist Lynn Marie Naden. These two will continue to lead discussions about art as part of community and individual health, and will lead the youth participants in the creation of a public art project. The final project will raise awareness of youth mental health through art.
We know participants may not make every session, but we do require a release and will send reminders for each session.
This free series is presented in partnership with South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services (the Center) and supported by the "Arts, Health, and Well-being in Alaska Communities" program of the Alaska State Council on the Arts
