The Community Stage Open Mic is a monthly gathering for artists, creatives, hobbyists, and curious humans to share work, try something new, and experience live art together. Come take the stage, test out an idea, hear something unexpected, discover a featured artist, or simply enjoy a night of creativity and connection.

Welcome to The Community Stage—a different kind of open mic.

The Community Stage is a place to try things out, elevate your practice, share openly, and connect with other people who are making things. Bring something polished or something still in progress. Try a new song. Read something you’ve been writing. Test out an idea. Take a creative risk. Or come simply to listen and be inspired.

Each month, we bring together local artists, emerging performers, experienced creatives, hobbyists, and first-timers for an eclectic evening of live performance.

🎤 What to Expect

Open Mic
Sign up when you arrive for a 4–6 minute performance slot. The order is selected at random, so you never quite know who will take the stage next. Music, poetry, storytelling, comedy, and other creative work are all welcome.

Featured Artist
Every Community Stage includes a featured artist spotlight—a longer set from a local artist or creative we’re excited to share with the community.

The featured artist is a big part of what makes the night special: audiences get to discover and experience an artist’s work more deeply, while participating artists get to see inspiring work from someone further along in their practice.

Monthly Theme
Each month has a theme to spark ideas and give the evening its own character. The theme is optional—use it as inspiration, interpret it however you want, or bring something completely different.

A Creative, Supportive Room
This isn't a competition or a polished showcase where everything has to be perfect. It’s a place to practice, experiment, take creative risks, and share work in community.

Come with something you've performed a hundred times—or something you're trying for the first time.
