Community spaces in Oxford
About this Event
Thriving communities are a central part of any society. Community organisations need spaces and places in which to meet, to organise, to create, to trade, to relax, and simply to belong. In Oxford that space is often hard to find.
This event will bring together community groups, local councils, developers and Oxford University to share experiences, expertise and ideas and to build on that knowledge to develop common ground, identify underlying problems and find positive ways forward.
The forum aims to:
• Show how Oxford can deliver functional and sustainable community spaces
• Connect communities, developers and landowners and explore local partnerships
• Help develop community assets and community wealth building
This event is organised by Oxford Civic Society and Makespace. It is free to attend but places are limited: advance booking is essential. Lunch will be provided.
