Community Sharpening Day
About this Event
Dull tools are dangerous tools. Sharp tools work better, last longer, and keep you safer. Bring yours to the Asheville Tool Library and our volunteers will get them back in shape.
What we sharpen (up to 3 tools per person):
- Yard tools: mower blades, shovels, hoes, edgers, pruners, loppers, shears
- Chainsaws
- Axes, mauls & hatchets
- Kitchen knives & scissors
Sign up in advance. We take 3 people every half hour, so please arrive on time.
$10 reserves your spot and helps prevent no-shows. This volunteer-run event raises money for AvlTL’s maintenance department, so we suggest a donation of $3–5 per tool.
One free spot is held at the top of every hour. Please use it only if the cost would keep you from coming.
